OBD Head IoT Unit

Tracker with IoT Telematics

This interface is used for communication with the vehicle ECUs. The unit can request extended range of vehicle data via OBD, read vehicle faults and check its condition and position. The unit handles up to 6 simultaneous CAN connections and K-Line connections for reading Telematics data specific to each car. It then sends this information to the selected remote server or via Bluetooth to the connected device.

Ideal solution for Fleet tracking, monitoring, automated trip logging and other projects, which require remote access to all the important vehicle information.

This device version is not intended for general vehicle serial diagnostics. For vehicle diagnostics, please visit the page for the specialized Troodon OBD device version.

Use case examples

Robust Fleet Tracking solution

Web-based fleet tracking and data collection allows for full-scale monitoring of all connected vehicles. Customers can easily access trip history of each vehicle, track their average fuel consumption, read Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC), set service reminders and much more.

Real-time telematics

The device can be connected to an existing service or as a full ready-to-deploy solution.

All the parameters, location and other statistics for all vehicles are available in real-time in Fleet Tracking Dashboard, accesible from any device via web browser. Individual vehicle data can also be configured for local access via USB, Bluetooth or Wifi connection directly from the device.

The TS02-110 OBD Head unit is connected to the vehicle’s diagnostic socket. It offers functions for reading vehicle parameters, GPS position tracking and basic diagnostics via the E-OBD standard. It transmits the acquired data to a remote server via GSM, or to a paired device via Bluetooth or Wi-fi. From here it is also possible to control and adjust the unit. The unit communicates with the vehicle via CAN or K-Line.
